Acute fatigue-related responses detected during duathlon simulation

According to a new study, tensiomyography (TMG) may be a useful tool for detecting neuromuscular fatigue during a duathlon.

The study, which was conducted with well-trained athletes, found that TMG parameters (muscle radial deformation, time of contraction, delay time, deformation rate until 10% and 90%) were able to detect acute fatigue-related changes during the duathlon.

While more research is needed to confirm these findings, the study’s authors believe that TMG may be a useful tool for assessing fatigue in athletes.
